I recently (Dec. 2011) thinned out my equipment by giving my son Ray
the Ameritron AL811H amplifier. It had sit for so long with no use I
knew he would not let it go idle. I also gave him the IC-2100 2mtr
Xcvr and the Astron RM35A power supply I had for 25 years. He made
a pretty good haul by also receiving my Hustler 4BTV & MFJ Memory
keyer.
I seem to have two of everything so it was time to pass these
things on, but keep them in the "Hamily" at the same time. It made
me feel good just to know my son had them now.
Future plans include the addition of a new Ten Tec Jupiter in the
shack. I am through with amplifiers as the last two I have own
have gone unused. For 51 years I have ran 100 watts or QRP power
and managed WAS DXCC WAC and many other awards without
high power.
